CAT-100: Carbon Potential Analyzer
SSi’s latest innovation, the CAT-100, is an atmospheric carbon potential analyzer that provides a measurement of carbon potential in a furnace or other atmosphere with a carbon-bearing gas. To use the system, the user first soaks a wire coil in the furnace for approximately 30 minutes. After a short cool-down period, the coil is attached to the CAT-100 for carbon analysis. The effective measurement range is 0.1 to 1.3% carbon. Results are displayed on an easy-to-use color touch screen in less than a minute. Designed to provide accurate results in a cost-effective manner, the CAT-100 is portable and can export stored readings to a computer using USB or an Ethernet connection.
