Solar Manufacturing shipped a vacuum furnace to a company in Virginia that services the tool-and-die industry. The furnace, which has a load weight capacity up to 250 pounds and a maximum operating temperature of 2400°F (1315°C), will be used for solution annealing, aging and brazing. It includes a graphite-insulated hot zone and the SolarVac Essentials control system.

Epcon Industrial Systems custom-designed and manufactured two batch ovens specifically for aging aluminum structural components for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Each oven includes a multi-tiered rack system and has sufficient capability to heat 6,500 pounds of aluminum and 2,500 pounds of steel from 70°F to 400°F in under two hours while meeting the stringent temperature uniformity requirement of  +/5°F.
