The R60 Series of fixed infrared sensors features a fiber-optic fixed infrared sensor for processes with tight installation spaces, electromagnetic interference or ambient environments up to 392°F (200°C) without cooling.
Global Control Pte Ltd., a heating-system original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is incorporating Honeywell technologies, including the ControlEdge HC900 controller, into its heat-treatment solutions. The company expects the controls to help its customers improve their asset performance, reduce their inventory and lifecycle costs, and save energy. When integrated into Global Control’s furnaces and ovens, ControlEdge HC900 provides new end-user capabilities such as simplified process ID (PID) execution. It also eliminates the requirement for an external controller, reducing overall maintenance requirements, and provides end users with the flexibility to run temperature profiles directly from the human-machine interface instead of downloading the program in the controller every time they use it.
Microsoft and Tenova, a Techint Group company, renewed their collaboration with the aim of guiding companies in the metals industry on their digital transformation journeys. Leveraging on the Microsoft Azure platform and Tenova’s solutions for the steel industry, the two companies intend to lead the digital transformation of the sector. The goal of this renewed partnership is to provide Italian companies in the metals industry with industrial solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) in order to give value to the large amount of data coming from industrial plants.
In the global industrial heat-treating market, tens of thousands of products are sent through conveyorized ovens or furnaces each and every day. The thermal processing of these products – whether heat treating the core material or even curing a surface coating – is often critical to the quality or performance of the finished product. Whether aluminum brazing a radiator or curing paint on a car body, achieving the correct process times and temperatures is essential.
Compact and portable, the BBS500-57 blackbody radiation source is ideal for use in the verification and calibration of non-contact infrared thermometers, infrared detectors and thermal imaging camera systems.
Super Systems Inc. (SSi) announced the promotion of Jim Oakes from vice president of business development to president.
