Furnace Manufacturer Investing in Equipment, Adding Jobs

Delta H Technologies will invest more than $300,000 in equipment and add 11 new jobs at its facility in Carroll, Ohio. Delta H Technologies manufactures industrial furnaces and heat-treatment ovens for the aerospace industry. The 11 new jobs will double the company’s current workforce. Fairfield County provided a $20,000 Workforce Development Training Grant to help with new-employee training, and JobsOhio provided a $50,000 performance grant toward the purchase of new machinery.

Box Furnaces Shipped to Technology Industry, Battery Manufacturer

Lindberg/MPH shipped an industrial box furnace to the technology industry, where it will be used for multiple applications, including annealing, austempering, brazing, preheating and solution treating. The Treet-All furnace, which has a maximum temperature rating of 2050°F, has work-chamber dimensions of 12 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 12 inches high. It meets and exceeds industry standards for heat-up rates and outer shell temperatures.

The horizontal gas nitriding furnace can produce a hard, clean substrate onto which a duplex layer with high hardness values is deposited. The working size of the furnace is 35.5 inches wide x 35.5 inches high x 47 inches long. The charge support design is suitable for a 3,307-pound maximum load.

Heat Treater Purchases UBQ, UBT Furnaces

Canadian commercial heat treater Thermetco expanded its heat-treatment production capability with the purchase of an AFC-Holcroft UBQ (universal batch quench) furnace and a UBT (universal batch temper) furnace. The equipment, which was delivered in the first quarter of 2018, was installed and commissioned at Thermetco’s new manufacturing facility in Chateauguay, Quebec. The furnaces will be used for general heat treating and offer the capability of providing metallurgical processes such as carburizing, carbonitriding, annealing, tempering and stress relieving.
