Russian scientists from NUST MISIS have developed a nanocarbon additive for aluminum AM powder, which is derived from oil waste. Using the nanocarbon addition, the scientists were able to increase the hardness of 3D-printed aerospace aluminum parts by 1.5 times and significantly lower their porosity.

The resulting parts, produced for applications within the aviation and space industries, will provide improved safety. Learn more here.
