Solar Atmospheres Continues Expansion for Vacuum Oil Quenching

Solar Atmospheres of Western PA (SAWPA) continues to progress in the construction of a 15,000-square-foot addition at its Hermitage, Pa., facility. The expansion will house a vacuum oil-quenching (VOQ) line, which includes a hardening furnace, tempers, washer and charge car. It will be installed and fully operational by the end of 2020.
Solar Atmospheres provides commercial vacuum heat treating, brazing, carburizing, and nitriding services in over 18 markets. With over 60 furnaces from lab sized to 48 feet long, Solar can handle any size job. Solar operates plants in Eastern and Western Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and California.
