An industrial facility originally thought to be a silver foundry in Salt Lake City is being recycled. As it turns out, however, it was formerly an ironworks (circa 1860) originally owned by a man named Silver. So, it’s Silver’s foundry but not a silver foundry. The industrial site will gain new life as a mixed-use facility of office, shops, restaurants and affordable housing.
