This month, SpaceX succeeded in sending an unmanned rocket to the International Space Station (ISS). NASA awarded both Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) and Boeing Co. contracts to fly U.S. astronauts to the ISS. Sometime this summer, both companies will launch crews to the ISS, which will be the first time since the Space Shuttle was retired in 2011.

In other SpaceX news, their Raptor engine was recently tested, with a number of images released. The plan is for the Raptor to propel the Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy rocket into space. The Raptor is designed to reach the moon as fast as possible, and a 2023 Starship mission to travel around the moon is planned.
