Steel Waste Propelling Vehicles

The EU-funded STEELANOL project, coordinated by ArcelorMittal Belgium, has shown that steel waste gases can be recycled and fermented to produce bioethanol, which is used in vehicles as a gasoline substitute. This fuel will be primarily used for gasoline blending, but it will also be used to produce jet fuel.
