An experimental robot with a cartoon face will be working alongside astronauts at the ISS. Named Cimon (Crew Interactive Mobile Companion), it is intended to be "an AI-based assistant for astronauts." Cimon will move about the station by floating in the zero-gravity environment thanks to 14 internal fans. Cimon will need to prove it is worth the space it takes up. It will return to earth on December 13.
