Boeing Co. is forming a $4.75 billion venture with long-time industrial partner Embraer SA. The move helps Boeing in its battle with Airbus SE over smaller jetliners. Boeing will own 80% percent of a partnership controlling Embraer’s commercial airplane and services businesses. This move will expand Boeing’s international manufacturing base and extend its reach into the market for 100-seat planes.
