Industrial Heating’s monthly economic indicators for July 2018 remained over 50 for the 20th straight month. This is the longest streak of growth for the Economic Indicators since December 2004-October 2006, when they went 23 straight months without going under 50. July 2018’s index numbers:
- Change in number of request for quotes from May to June – 57.3
- Change in number of orders from May to June – 56.2
- Change in backlog from May to June – 53.9
- Expected change in the health of the industry through July – 58.8
July 2018’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their June 2018 business levels to their May 2018 levels. A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth.
