Volvo Ditching Diesel in South Carolina
July 26, 2018
The U.S.-made Volvo S60 will no longer have a diesel-engine option, according to the automaker. Volvo will make the updated S60, a mid-size sports sedan, at its $1.2 billion manufacturing facility in Berkeley County, S.C. Production is expected to start in the fall. The first run of the model will be available with 4-cylinder gas engines and in two plug-in hybrid-powered versions.
