Despite Change, Buyers Guide Remains the Same

A lot has changed over the course of nearly three decades, both in the thermal-processing and publishing industries. Through it all, however, Industrial Heating’s annual Buyers Guide – despite some minor tweaks here and there – has remained the same.

This edition serves the same purpose as it did 28 years ago: help readers make better purchasing decisions. We accomplish this goal by compiling the industry’s leading equipment manufacturers in one issue and providing a simple way for readers to find the products they need and contact the companies they want to talk to.

The Manufacturers Directory provides an alphabetical listing of companies that manufacture and sell thermal-processing equipment. Each company listing includes full contact information. The Products Directory is where you can find the products you need and the companies that provide them. The section is broken down into four main categories for convenience: Furnaces, Ovens & Kilns; Components, Supplies & Materials; Refractories & Insulation; and Controls, Instrumentation & Test Equipment.

You can begin your product search at our Product Index page, which lists every product and service in the directory by page number. This index is color-coded so that the product categories correspond with the color of the tabs at the top of each page. The process is simple: find the product you want, go to the page where it’s listed and see a list of companies that offer that product for sale. You can then go back to our Manufacturers Directory to find a particular company’s contact information.

Perhaps the most important change that has occurred over the past 28 years is the addition and subsequent redesign (in 2016) of our online Buyers Guide at www.industrialheating.com/buyersguide. You can search our website by company, product or keyword to find exactly what you’re looking for quickly and efficiently. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you can browse the product categories. You can also search for companies by state.

Here are some other important things to think about this summer.

FNA 2018

It’s July, which means that the biggest industry event of the year is right around the corner. Furnaces North America 2018, presented by the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) in partnership with Industrial Heating, will be held Oct. 8-10 in Indianapolis, Ind. FNA 2018 brings attendees from all around world together for learning/training via technical sessions, business opportunities via the trade show and networking events.

eBooks

Over the last several years, there have been numerous calls to gather and distribute all of “The Heat Treat Doctor” columns and the many technical articles Dan Herring has written for Industrial Heating over the last 20 years. As a fulfillment of these requests, we are pleased to announce two new eBooks: “A Comprehensive Guide to Heat Treatment” Volume 1 and Volume 2. Volume 1 is available for free at www.industrialheating.com/ebooks. Look for Volume 2 in December.
