Kitty Hawk, a flying-car project backed by Google co-founder Larry Page, is offering a model available for test flights (with a top speed of 20 mph) by prospective buyers. Flyer, the company’s first personal flying vehicle, is capable of vertical take-off and landing like a helicopter. Kitty Hawk says the electric aircraft sounds as loud as a lawn mower from 50 feet away.
