Thermprocess 2019 Heading for Success
About 2,000 exhibitors from around the world will showcase their latest innovations at Thermprocess, GIFA, METEC and Newcast June 25-29, 2019 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. With the slogan “The Bright World of Metals,” the trade fairs will cover the entire range of foundry technology, casting products, metallurgy and thermal-processing technology. Topics such as Industry 4.0, e-commerce within the steel and aluminum industries, lightweight construction for the automotive industry and additive manufacturing will also be addressed.
The event’s ancillary program includes international congresses and industry meetings such as the GIFA Conference, European Steel Technology and Application Days, European Metallurgical Conference and the Newcast Forum. Additional highlights will be the Newcast Awards and special shows by the Research Association of Industrial Furnace Manufacturers.
According to Messe Düsseldorf, over half of the 78,000 visitors in 2015 were top executives and decision makers. In addition, over 50% of visitors came from outside Germany. The top 10 foreign countries included Brazil, China, Iran, India, the U.S., France, Italy, Austria and the U.K.
Thermprocess 2019, the 12th international trade fair and symposium for thermal-processing technology, will feature about 300 international exhibitors. Around 50% of exhibitors are coming from outside Germany.
GIFA 2019, the 14th International Foundry Trade Fair with Technical Forum, will feature over 900 exhibitors from around the globe. As in the past, strong participation will come from China and Italy. New at GIFA 2019 will be the Special Show for Additive Manufacturing (Hall 13).
At METEC 2019, the 10th International Metallurgical Trade Fair with Congresses, more than 500 exhibitors from around the world will present systems for manufacturing iron ore, steel and nonferrous metals. For the first time, forged components will be displayed at METEC. They were previously part of Newcast, but due to their growing importance they are now a better fit for the metallurgy trade fair.
Newcast, the 5th International Trade Fair for Castings with Technical Forum, will feature over 400 exhibitors. High participation from China, India and Turkey is expected.
