SECO/WARWICK received an order for a roller-hearth tube heat-treatment furnace from Tube Investments of India Ltd., a leading Indian tube manufacturer. The furnace, which has been successfully commissioned, is custom-designed for bright annealing and normalizing of carbon-steel tubes (ERW and welded), cold-drawn welded precision steel tubes, mother hollow tubes and as-drawn tubes. It is equipped with single-ended, self-recuperative radiant-tube burners, automatic ignition system and flame monitoring system.

The furnace operation is controlled by a PLC-based control panel, which ensures automatic control and close monitoring of system parameters for higher quality of processed materials. The furnace design and temperature control system results in fast heating rates with close temperature uniformity within the load. The furnace will help strengthen Tube Investments’ market position in India.

Last year in India, SECO/WARWICK commissioned a 3.96-ton-per-hour walking-beam furnace at NHK Springs India Ltd. and a controlled-atmosphere brazing (CAB) line at Banco Products Ltd.
