Club-maker Titleist is making the raw-steel version of its SM7 wedges, which were previously only offered to professionals, available to anyone online. The club is made of 8620 carbon steel, but the “raw” version has no additional finish applied to it. It has also been given a new heat treatment to increase the durability of the grooves.

According to Titleist, the raw-steel version has a satin appearance that will start to rust after use. It also gives the manufacturer the flexibility to grind wedges based on a player’s specific needs. Click here to learn more about the club.
