Fives signed a contract with JSW Dolvi Works, part of India’s leading steel producer JSW Steel, for the design and supply of two reheating furnaces. Fives will supply two Stein Digit@l furnaces for a new hot-strip mill. According to Fives, the furnaces will have the highest slab reheating furnace capacity in India at 450 tons/hour. They will ensure homogeneous heating due to a new generation of AdvanTek burners, which are located on the furnace sidewalls. The furnaces will also be equipped with a Level 2 process-optimization system to enable control of the slab temperature profile in a real-time mode.

JSW Dolvi Works, located in the state of Maharashtra, aims to increase its capacities to enable production of high-quality strip. The expansion plan includes complete facilities starting from ironmaking, steel melting, slab casting and a hot-strip mill with an annual capacity of 5 million tons.
