Three months before the start of Wire 2018 (the International Wire and Cable Trade Fair) and Tube 2018 (the International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair) and exhibitors have booked a record 1.29 million square feet of net exhibit space, about 107,600 square feet more than at the 2016 event. This marks the best result ever in the over-30-year history of the two events.

Wire and Tube will be held concurrently from April 16-20 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. Innovative technologies, new machinery and equipment as well as products and services from the wire, cable and tube industries will be presented over five days.

To date, 1,180 companies representing 50 countries have registered for Wire 2018, occupying more than 699,700 square feet in halls 9 to 18. At Tube 2018, 965 exhibitors from 53 nations have booked over 559,700 square feet of net exhibit space in halls 3 to 7.0 and 7a as well as halls 16 to 18.

Wire 2018 will feature machinery for the manufacturing and finishing of wire, tools and auxiliary materials for process engineering as well as materials, special wires and cables. The trade fair will also cover innovations in measurement and control engineering, test engineering and a range of specialist areas.

Tube 2018 will feature machinery and equipment for tube production, treatment and processing, raw materials, tubes and accessories, pre-owned machinery and process technology tools. It will also include measuring, control and test equipment, as well as pipeline and OCTG technology. In response to high demand from China, Tube 2018 will feature a China Pavilion with companies from the wire, cable, tube and pipe sectors.
