A new plant – a JV by Aubert & Duval and UTKMP international – will be the first in Europe to produce aviation-grade titanium by recycling. Chips and solid scrap is collected from major aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors, which is turned into titanium alloys. At full capacity, the plant will produce several thousand tons of titanium-alloy ingots per year and add about 60 new jobs.
