Acerinox inaugurated new production lines at its North American Stainless (NAS) plant in Carroll County, Ky. The new equipment will enable the facility to increase its production capacity by 10% and expand its range of products. The $150 million investment will allow NAS to begin manufacturing bright-annealed stainless steel, which is increasing in demand in the North American market. The investment also calls for the creation of 36 new jobs.

According to the company, the new lines create products of higher added value, increase the steelworks and hot-rolling capacity and improve competitiveness of the plant. NAS is a member of the Acerinox Group.
