Russian Company Not Quite Ready for 3D Printing

VSMPO-AVISMA is “quite far away” from 3D printing titanium forgings to aircraft manufacturers. Despite demand from Airbus and Boeing to deliver forgings requiring less post-processing, the Russian-based titanium producer isn’t optimistic about converting its furnaces to 3D-printing machines.
