Home » Italian Steelmaker Orders Bright-Annealing Line
Ebner will supply a vertical bright-annealing line to Arinox, a member of Italy’s Arvedi Group. Features of the line, which will be used in the production of ultra-thin precision steel strip, include: a gas-fired muffle furnace, processing temperatures up to 2100°F (1150°C), maximum strip width of 62 inches (1,575 mm) and throughput capacity of 7.8 tons/hour. The facility will start production at the beginning of 2019.
In other news, Ebner received an order from Italy’s Fontana Luigi S.p.A. for the expansion of its existing HICON bell annealer facility for the cost-effective heat treatment of non-pickled steel wire coils. Both phases will be nearly identical in design to ensure the highest level of flexibility between the facility components to achieve maximum throughput capacity. Start of production is scheduled for July 2018 for the new phase.
