Lindberg/MPH shipped a heavy-duty box furnace to a global provider of material and technology solutions. The furnace, which will be used for processing glass, was customized by moving the heating elements that are typically mounted on the roof and floor of the furnace to the sidewalls. This design change was necessary to prevent any melted glass from spilling onto the elements during processing. The furnace has a maximum temperature rating of 2732°F (1500°C) and work-chamber dimensions of 12 inches wide x 14 inches deep x 12 inches high. Heating elements are horizontally positioned on either side of the heating chamber.
