Bosch to Build $1.1 Billion Semiconductor Plant

Bosch will invest $1.1 billion to build a semiconductor plant in Dresden, Germany. To satisfy the demand generated by the growing number of Internet of Things (IoT) and mobility applications, the site will manufacture chips on the basis of 12-inch wafers. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2019, and approximately 700 new jobs will be created.
