Miyake Forging North America Corp. will build a new automotive bearing parts manufacturing facility in Surgoinsville, Tenn. The company will invest $13.7 million and create 60 new jobs for its first U.S. manufacturing operation, which will better supply North American customers. Miyake will build a 45,000-square-foot facility in Phipps Bend Industrial Park that will manufacture automotive bearing parts through hot- and cold-forging processes. The plant is expected to be operational by early 2018.
