Ford Invests in Autonomous Technology

In February, Ford announced that it is investing $1 billion over the next five years in Argo AI. The Pittsburgh company is charged with developing a virtual-driver system for a self-driving vehicle they hope to launch in 2021. Argo AI plans to hire 200 people to advance the would-be brains of the fully autonomous vehicle.
