Tenova has been contracted by Russian steel company NLMK to supply a 320-ton/hour walking-beam furnace for its plant in Lipetsk. Ultra-low-NOx Flexytech technology will be used to achieve outstanding results in performance, including very low values in terms of NOx emissions and low fuel consumption. Tenova adopted the best-available technologies and its latest technical innovations to satisfy the expectations of NLMK. Start-up of the furnace is scheduled for September 2019. Tenova was contracted by NLMK earlier this year to design and supply a 395-ton/hour walking-beam furnace for reheating slabs at its plant in Sharon, Pa.
