NTK Precision Axle Corp., a joint venture of NTN Corp., Takao Kogyo Co. Ltd. and Neturen Co. Ltd., will build a second plant in Anderson, Ind., for the purpose of increasing production capacity of driveshaft components. The facility will focus on the heat-treatment and turning processes for shafts and will be built on the western side of NTN Driveshaft Anderson, the driveshaft plant that was established in 2015. In addition to production that has been covered entirely in the U.S., the new plant will also consolidate production of shafts that had been sourced from overseas and externally. Construction is scheduled to begin this month, and start-up is planned for April 2018.
