Swedish Government to Fund Green Steel Research

The Swedish Energy Agency has agreed to provide $6.19 million toward a four-year research project worth $11.28 million. The project is an initiative for the creation of a carbon-dioxide-free steel industry involving Swedish steelmaker SSAB, iron ore producer LKAB and power company Vattenfall. The three companies will fund the balance of the project.
