Sciaky Inc., a provider of metal additive-manufacturing (AM) solutions, received an order from a Japanese supplier for an electron-beam additive-manufacturing (EBAM) system. The company plans to utilize the system to offer metal 3D-printing services to its customer base, as well as for internal product development. Sciaky's EBAM systems can produce parts ranging from 8 inches (203 mm) to 19 feet (5.79 meters) in length. Delivery is scheduled for January 2018. This will be the first installation of a Sciaky EBAM system in the Asia-Pacific region.
