Wisconsin Oven shipped two electrically heated standard draw batch ovens to a heat-treat facility in Mexico. The ovens, which will be used to temper various steel parts for the automotive industry, have sufficient capacity to heat 1,200 pounds of steel within 210 minutes and are used for special tool steels such as H13 D and M series. Each oven has a work chamber measuring of 5 feet, 11 inches wide x 11 feet high x 5 feet, 10 inches long with a maximum temperature rating of 1250°F (677°C).
The hearths consist of two 304 stainless steel pier rails on 24-inch centers. A vertical-lift, pneumatically operated door is provided at the front of each batch oven.
The customer required guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±10°C at 600°C, which was verified through a nine-point profile test. The ovens were fully factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment from Wisconsin Oven’s facility.
