According to a report on SurfKY.com, automotive parts maker Hansens Aluminum LLC, a family owned South African company, plans to invest $18.4 million to build an aluminum extrusion facility in Henderson, Ky. The 75,000-square-foot plant, which would create 90 new jobs, could start production of automotive components by the end of the year and will supply customers throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

According to Hansens Aluminum, the Henderson operation will expand its global capacity and allow the company to add new automotive products. Founded in South Africa in 1956, the company produces more than 25 million anti-vibration and HVAC line fitting components annually. The Henderson facility will add capacity to produce a variety of other automotive parts.
