Lindberg/MPH shipped an atmosphere box furnace to a company for research and development purposes. The furnace has a maximum temperature rating of 1100°C (2012°F) and a work chamber measuring 36 inches wide x 48 inches deep x 36 inches high, making it ideal for heat treating a variety of part sizes. Vacuum-formed ceramic-fiber insulation is used for quick heat-up and low heat storage, and a horizontal-swing insulated plug door keeps the inner hot surface away from the operator when opening to charge or unload work.
The furnace’s programmable temperature controller is capable of running 50 programs with 500 segments. This capability allows the operator to set specific programs for the different parts that will be processed. Built with mild-steel construction and a structural-steel frame, the CSA-certified unit has a temperature range of 760-1100°C.
