SMS group received an order from PT. Gunung Raja Paksi of Cikarang City, Indonesia, for a continuous light section mill. SMS group will supply a walking-beam reheating furnace with a capacity of 100 tons per hour as part of the order. The furnace will be designed to achieve excellent heat efficiency and enhanced process control. Low-NOx burners will ensure a substantial reduction of pollutants released to the atmosphere. Starting materials will be 150- and 200-mm (5.9-7.9 inches) square billets with a length of 12 meters (39 feet) and 300 x 250-mm (11.8 x 9.8 inches) beam blanks. The mill is expected to produce 500,000 tons per year of a wide range of products beginning in 2018.
