New Material Could Transform Steel Industry

Researchers from Germany have created a metallic material that possesses high strength and high ductility at the same time. Up to this point, very ductile metallic materials did not have sufficient strength and vice versa. The hope is that this discovery can be adapted for the future design of parts with thinner metallic sheets.
