As reported in our Sept. 22 magEzine and on our website, $2 billion worth of aluminum was found stored under a hay and plastic tarp in in the Mexican desert. Now, however, the massive stockpile has been moved to a remote port in southern Vietnam. According to records and other sources, 500,000 metric tons of aluminum has been trucked out of San José Iturbide and shipped to Vietnam, where it is heavily guarded at a factory in the South China Sea port of Vung Tau.
