Alcoa Corporation completed the separation from its parent company Alcoa Inc., which is now named Arconic Inc. and focused on supplying the aerospace and automotive industries, and has begun operating as an independent, publicly-traded company. Alcoa Corporation is a globally cost-competitive industry leader in bauxite, alumina and aluminum products. The company has 25 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Arconic, meanwhile, announced a $1 billion contract to supply Airbus with aluminum sheet and plate. The company will provide aluminum for the A320. Here’s that story.
