Lindberg/MPH shipped a stationary electric resistance melting and holding crucible furnace to a company in the automobile industry. The furnace, which will be used for melting aluminum alloys in a laboratory setting for research and development, has a melt rate of 50 pounds per hour and holding capacity of 150 pounds. It utilizes low-voltage heating elements that provide long service life, and it is highly insulated to provide uniform temperature control. The furnace was factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment to help reduce installation and start-up times.
