Nutec Inc. opened a new facility in Huntersville, N.C., on Aug. 31. The 62,500-square-foot plant will manufacture high-temperature insulation wool (HTIW) products, such as refractory ceramic fiber (RCF) and low bio-persistent insulation, for heat-treating processes and for the petrochemical, ceramic, glass and power-generation industries in the U.S. and Canada. The $19.2 million facility, which includes state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture MaxWool blanket products, is expected to create approximately 60 new jobs.
