The Wall Street Journal originally reported on a massive stockpile of aluminum in the Mexican desert. How much aluminum are we talking about? Why was it there? And what does it have to do with Mr. Bean? Apparently, 6% of the world’s aluminum ($2 billion) was found just south of the U.S. border. That’s enough to make 77 billion beverage cans! The goal was to evade any U.S. trade restriction by bringing it in through a NAFTA partner. Interested in how Mr. Bean is involved?
