Wellman Furnaces Inc. commissioned two custom-built electrically heated radiant coil furnaces for Changshu 3F Zhonghao New Chemical Materials in Changshu City, China. The two large furnaces have a maximum temperature of approximately 1700°F (927°C) utilizing 380 VAC 3 phase power. They will be used in Zhonghao’s chemical manufacturing processes. Quick start-up allowed Zhonghao to start producing product after only one week. Wellman built and commissioned similar furnaces at DuPont’s Washington Works Plant in 1954.
