H.C. Starck announced a partnership with the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Center for Heat Treating Excellence (CHTE). H.C. Starck of Newton, Mass., supplies fabricated products to OEMs, end-users and aftermarket furnace manufacturers for heat treating medical, aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, nuclear-fuel, crystal-growth and waste-treatment products. CHTE is an alliance between the industrial sector and university researchers that addresses short- and long-term needs in the heat-treating and thermal-processing industry. H.C. Starck has made significant investments in its fabrication capabilities and is developing new materials for high-temperature applications to improve cost and performance for its customers.
