The ASM Heat Treating Society (HTS) launched a new thermal-processing show in Queretaro, an automotive and aerospace manufacturing hub in central Mexico. The technical program is now live for this four-day event (Sept. 20-23). It features topics such as induction heat treating, carburizing, nitriding and forging. Heat Treat Mexico is the first thermal-processing-focused show held by HTS in Mexico.

Day one of the technical program is an exclusive event featuring an Education Workshop from ASM International’s most popular course, “Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist.” It will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Heat Treat Mexico technical program is organized to emphasize how materials respond to thermal treatment.  It highlights the fundamentals of the process on day two, the changes to the metallurgical structure that result from the treatment on the third day, and day four will reveal the control methodology and maintenance protocols important to the specific technology.
