Bonnell Aluminum Investing $18 Million in Michigan Facility
Bonnell Aluminum, a subsidiary of Tredegar Corp., will invest approximately $18 million over the next year to fund an expansion project at its AACOA facility in Niles, Mich. The investment will include the purchase of a new state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion line, which is scheduled to start up in the second quarter of 2017. The line will be comprised of a 3,600-ton extrusion press, housing a 9-inch container, handling systems and ancillary equipment. Capacity is estimated at approximately 16 million pounds. The project also includes additional floor space to accommodate future value-added fabrication capacity.
According to Bonnell Aluminum, the addition of the line will provide new and broader product line capabilities for its customers.
