Planning is well under way for the International Thermprocess Summit Americas (ITPS Americas), which is scheduled for Aug. 10-12 at the Loews Chicago Hotel in Chicago. Every four years the thermal-processing industry gathers in Düsseldorf, Germany, for the industry’s largest trade show, Thermprocess. ITPS stems from Thermprocess and has been held in Germany and India during the interim years. This executive-level summit, which is designed to bring upper management from manufacturers and suppliers together for networking and information exchange, will be launched in the U.S. for the first time this summer. Co-sponsored in the U.S. by the Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) and Industrial Heating, this two-day event will feature four educational sessions that will address:

  • Policies impacting thermal processes
  • Economic updates from around the world
  • Technological advancements
  • Market segment trends

The program will begin with a Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening followed by two days of presentations and a tabletop exhibition. IHEA recently announced that Mark Mills, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and CEO of Digital Power Group, will present the event’s keynote address on Geopolitics of Energy. Mills is a frequent contributor to Forbes Magazine and provides testimony to the U.S. government on energy issues.
