StrikoWestofen Asia received an order for 41 Westomat dosing furnaces from China’s Hong Bang Die Casting Co., which will install the furnaces at two locations (Tianjin and Nantong). The foundry, which had been working with ladle systems, cited efficiency and metal quality as the main reasons for converted its production to dosing technology. Westomat only requires one-third of the energy consumed by ladle systems, and its metal loss of 0.06% amounts to only 20% of the usual metal loss.

Hong Bang specializes in the manufacture of tool designs and cast aluminum parts. It is a supplier to automotive companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Tesla Motors.
