Jack Smylie joined Advanced Heat Treat Corp. of Waterloo, Iowa, as director of sales and marketing. Smylie has over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurial sales and marketing. He was formerly a national sales and marketing manager with MODRoto and was the former president and COO of Single Source Packaging, a venture he started to supply packaging materials to the automotive market.

In his new role with AHT, Smylie will be responsible for sales and marketing efforts to help develop and support the company’s long-term business objectives for heat-treat services at all four facilities, including creating and overseeing short- and long-term goals for the sales and marketing department; promote brand awareness; determine the demand for services offered by customers and competitors; and identify potential customers while building and strengthening relationships with key and prospective accounts.
