Industrial Heating, in cooperation with MTI and the MTI Educational Foundation, recently named the 2015 Commercial Heat Treater of the Year. Heat Treatment Australia received what is formally called the Master Craftsman Award at MTI’s Fall Meeting in Canada. The honor, which is given to one MTI member company that demonstrates they are “making a positive impact on their community and their industry,” is based on three criteria: quality programs, pollution and hazardous waste control, and community involvement and leadership.
Heat Treatment Australia was presented with a plaque at the meeting and will receive a $1,500 donation to be presented as a scholarship to a high school senior or college student pursuing a degree in materials science or an apprentice program in heat treating.
